Blessed is a little bit of an understatement when it comes to the opportunities at PRP. For the 2017-2018 school year, PRP was proud to announce their partnership with the Academies of Louisville. The academy model, which aligns education and workforce development needs, better prepares students for career success.
“Academy students will graduate not only with a diploma but also with college credits, industry certifications, real work experience, and a backpack full of success skills,” said Academy Coach Josh Lightle.
PRP has added two new academies this year. The academies are Architectural Technology and the Education Academy. The other academies here at PRP include the Freshman, Engineering, Business and Communications, and the Health Science Academies.
“Students will have a head start on life in the real world,” said Lightle.
Believing in educational equity for all, this initiative prepares, inspires, and empowers all academy students to reach their fullest potential. The Academies of Louisville hopes that students will enjoy learning more, and participate within the pathway of their choice. Students of this generation will be able to change and make this world a better place.
