In 2017, the Red Cross reported that every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. This high demand for blood causes the Red Cross to run five-hundred blood drives on any given day and soon, one will be held here at PRP.
The blood drive was arranged by Erin Ferguson, a teacher in the Health Science Academy. “It is going to happen on October 27th from 8:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m,” she said in her notoriously cheery voice. “I wanted to arrange this blood drive because I feel that it is very important for people in hospitals to get the blood they need when they need it.”
The qualifications to participate in the blood drive are:
1. You must be in good health and feeling well.
2. You must be at least 16.
3. You must weight at least 110 pounds.
