(Contains spoilers to Stanger Things Season 1)
During the summer of 2016, Stranger Things took the world by storm and soon became one of the most-watched original series on Netflix. It brought fame to young stars like Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, and welcomed back familiar faces to our screens like Winona Ryder, who plays Joyce Byers.
Set in the 1980s, the show starts when Joyce’s son, Will, suddenly disappears, turning their small-town upside down. His friends, mom, and the police chief must band together to find him, while also being cautious of a supernatural threat called the Demogorgon. To further thicken the plot, a young girl named Eleven, who has special abilities, is thrown into the mix.
Like any good show, season one ended with a cliffhanger, leaving viewers stranded with dozens of questions. Was Eleven dead? Did they defeat the Demogorgon? Is Will alright? Well, the good news is, is that after over a year of waiting, the second season of Stranger Things has finally been released. It became available to fans on October 27th on Netflix with nine episodes, each around 50 minutes long. It has already gotten astounding reviews from critics and season three is currently in the works.
