The fight everyone was waiting for. Mayweather versus Connor McGregor in a packed arena, in Las Vegas, with a multi-million dollar deal on the line on the historic day on August 27th.

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has fifteen world titles in his weight class and many championships. His opponent, Connor McGregor, is an experienced mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Champion. He went into the fight with an undefeated record of 50-0. Mayweather took the one hundred million dollar deal to engage in a fight Connor McGregor. With the deal spiked up, Connor McGregor took the three hundred million dollar deal to accept the fight with Floyd Mayweather.

“I wanted Mayweather to win. He (McGregor) was on his turf,” said Coach Evans

Most people believed Mayweather took the deal because McGregor was on Mayweather’s battlefield and felt that he needed to be taught a lesson to stay in his own lane. While others thought that he only did it for the large money deal. McGregor suffered an embarrassing loss but he did fight well.

“I believe McGregor took the deal for the money and the experience,” Robert Dayton said.

Others agree with his words saying that the new environment he endured he can learn from it and gain more expertise. Many people have many sides to this story, some agree with taking the money deal, some believe that it was a new trend that should start that could make a new beginning in the boxing age.

“I think with this new fight a trend is bound to happen in the future for boxing,” said Althea Malone.

Even though the fight is over and done, it was still considered to this day a fight well fought, hopefully, there will be more just like this one to bring more excitement to the Boxing and UFC world.
