The goal of Fellowship of Christian Athletes is to be a welcoming environment, and they have even started an Instagram and a Remind group to encourage the growth in the community.
“I have seen kids share the gospel and invite friends. FCA has grown over the past year because kids are living for Jesus,” said Mr. Lightle when asked about the impact of coming to FCA.
Pastors from nearby churches often visit and tell personal stories that relate to the Bible.
“We have FCA so kids can come together and grow in the body of Christ,” said Mr. Lightle. Students of all grades are welcome to join Friday morning at 7:20 in Mr. Lightle’s room 324. You do not have to be a Christian or an athlete to come to a meeting.
“I would advise students, especially Christian to go. It is a good experience,” said Senior Miranda Grayson.
