Anybody who had a childhood knows the classic story of Cinderella. She was the poor maiden girl who married a rich and handsome prince with a little help from her fairy godmother. Beginning this Friday, March 7, the Drama Department will bring it to life on the stage of the new Fine Arts Building.

This Cinderella, however, will not be the Disney version with which we are all so familiar. The play will actually be the Rodgers and Hammerstein version. While this means no talking mice, it does mean that there will be a much larger musical element to the story.  “I’m really excited to see the musical, especially since it will have a lot more music in it,” said Sophomore Sophia Peyton.

Performances will take place on March 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30p.m. The cost of admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. Front row seats are an additional $2. To purchase tickets online, visit http://prpfinearts.weebly.com/.

All of the money made from ticket sales will be used to fund future performances.
